The Club is thrilled to offer, for the first time ever, a Summer skating contract for Club Alumni and non-club members. This is a great opportunity to get back on the ice at Commonwealth, have some fun skating, rekindle old friendships, and cool off on those hot summer days and nights. Here are the terms for this Summer skating opportunity:-You can purchase ice time at Membership rates, not pick-up rates;
-There is no minimum or maximum of ice you need to buy, but you will be required to skate the same session you buy each week;
-You may contract any open freestyle or moves ice;
-A current and updated USFS card is required to obtain this membership. If you let your Alumni membership lapse with Commonwealth you must hold a current USFA card;
-You must complete our forms of Release as well as an emergency card;-If you are interested, please contact Kim Madigan at 617 698-6115 in the evening. Also, note that if you do not want contract ice, that you are welcome to pick-up (although full club members have priority over Alumni and non-club skaters to pick-up ice).
The Club also announces that it is offering a SUMMER SKATING MEMBERSHIP FOR ANY SKATER who would like to contract open freestyle or moves ice. You must have a current and up-to-date USFS card to take out this special membership. The fee for this Summer Membership is $25.00 and entitles you to purchase ice time at membership and not pick-up rates. Please contact our Club Secretary, Kim Madigan, at 617 698-6115 for further information.
Finally, any skater interested in submitting an application for a full Club membership for the skating season 2006-2007, should contact Kim Madigan at the above telephone number.

THE ICE HOUSE RETURNS
We welcome back Glenn from Ice House Sports for skate sharpening at our
rink.. The skate sharpening will be on the second Tuesday of each month- so
leave your skates in the downstairs Pro Shop either the Monday night before
or early Tuesday morning with a note that has your name, telephone number
where you can be reached, a designation of the type of cut you want for the
blade, AND a check payable to the Ice House in the amount of $14.00. In
addition, before each Tuesday in question be sure to list your skater and
the type of cut on a list that will be posted in the Clubroom. For any

Learn to SkateThe Learn to Skate program operated by our Club is designed to run in conjunction with the United States Figure Skating Association established program. The Club offers an eight (8) week session of skating .The program is for ages 4 through adult and is presented at the Randolph skating rink. The program teaches in several levels, students are tested and badges given to those who master the level requirements, testing done at the discretion of our Staff Professionals. Required equipment: helmet, properly fitted and sharpened skates (no double runners allowed), mittens or gloves, and warm outer clothing such as a jogging suit, winter coat, and hats.
Each class is one hour long and divided into two half-hour segments. The first half hour is devoted to group lessons. The second half hour is a free skate.
We have presently arranged to conduct a Learn to Skate Session at the Randolph Rink from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday nights beginning July 5th. A First session will run from July 5th through July 26th and a Second session from August 2nd through August 23rd.
