Welcome to the Great Bay Figure Skating Club located at the Dover Ice Arena in Dover, New Hampshire.  The Great Bay Figure Skating Club offers all levels of instruction (from beginner to freestyle to adult programs) each Saturday morning in partnership with the United States Figure Skating Association.  The Basic Skills Program is designed by the USFSA to be fun, challenging and rewarding. This program serves the needs of both the recreational and the competitive skater. The curriculum is designed to keep skaters enthusiastic about learning from the time they begin lessons until the time they reach their goals. Whether your goal is to achieve Olympic fame or simply enjoy the recreational benefits of skating, "Skate With U.S." is for you!.

The objectives of the program are:

To provide a fun and safe skating experience for the beginner as well as the more advanced skater.

To teach correct technique of the basic elements of skating.

To develop a finer degree of coordination and balance.

To promote physical fitness.

To have FUN!

BASIC SKILLS PROGRAM
The USFSA (United States Figure Skating Association) Basic Skills Program is designed for all ages from beginners to advanced test levels.  All skaters receive a USFSA membership card and number.  Each month all skaters who supply their email address will receive  our e- newsletter, “Scribbles? published by GBFSC to keep the skater and their family informed of the events and news of the club.  You may submit your skater’s news and low resolution pictures to Coeli Hoover at gbscribbles@verizon.net.

COST

$100 for each 6 week session.  A 10% discount will be applied to anyone paying for 5 sessions up front and in full.  A $10 credit will be given to each sibling or parent signed up in addition to the primary skater.  A referral bonus will be given to each additional non-family member signing up for a session.  You will receive a “chance?for a free session.  We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.  There is a $15.00 charge for returned checks.

Flex Time can be used for moves in the field, freestyle or dance.  Maximum skaters on the ice during any flex time will be 22.  Walk-on skaters are first come first serve as space is available, at the higher rate noted. All skaters must provide a current USFSA number.
