Laura Cancelari
of Beverly, Ma. and a member of the North Shore Skating Club is the 2003
winner of the Aldo Costantino Scholarship Award. Laura received the
award from Julian Krane (NEICC President) at the June 22nd meeting of the
Council at SCOB. Laura was in the top percentile of her graduating
class at Beverly High School. She has also skated competitively,
most recently at the 2003 North Shore Open, in Junior Ladies.
Laura will be attending Providence College this fall. CONGRATULATIONS !! |

The scholarship is in memory of Aldo Costantino, the 3rd President of the New England Inter-Club Council, who since passed away and also in recognition of the Council's 25th Anniversary.
The requirements for applicants are as follows.
Submissions to be mailed to Rena Krane, 23 Englewood Avenue,
Everett, MA. 02149-5404.
They award is $1,000 dollars to be given to the recipient directly at the end of their 1st semester.
The panel that will make the decision will be made up of a Professor (either College or HS teacher) a coach, an official, a parent of a past skater, and a member of the NEICC. The names will not be given out and will change probably every year.
Winners should receive notification no later than July 1st.
