THE ALDO COSTANTINO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 
 
Laura Cancelari of Beverly, Ma. and a member of the North Shore Skating Club is the 2003 winner of the Aldo Costantino Scholarship Award.  Laura received the award from Julian Krane (NEICC President) at the June 22nd meeting of the Council at SCOB.  Laura was in the top percentile of her graduating class at Beverly High School.  She has also skated competitively, most recently at the 2003 North Shore Open, in Junior Ladies.

Laura will be attending Providence College this fall.  CONGRATULATIONS !!

The scholarship is in memory of Aldo Costantino, the 3rd President of the New England Inter-Club Council, who since passed away and also in recognition of the Council's 25th Anniversary.

The requirements for applicants are as follows.

Note: Failure to meet the scholarship criteria and to follow application instructions will result in disqualification of the applicant.
Results of these applications will be mailed to applicants as soon as possible after the deadline. All selections are considered final and all submitted materials become the property of the NEICC and will not be returned. The NEICC reserves the right to publish, in part or whole, essays submitted with the applications.

They award is $1,000 dollars to be given to the recipient directly at the end of their 1st semester.

The panel  that will make the decision will be made up of a Professor (either College or HS teacher) a coach, an official, a parent of a past skater, and a member of the NEICC.  The names will not be given out and will change probably every year.

Winners should receive notification no later than July 1st.
