VERMONT SKATING CLUB, INC. (VSC)
The
Vermont Skating Club (USFS Club #555) is a non-profit corporation that is
governed by a volunteer board of directors whose goal is to promote the
understanding and appreciation of figure skating and to encourage the
instruction, practice and skills in figure skating in accordance with the
objectives and policies of the US Figure Skating (USFS). VSC offers group and
private instruction (with a new afternoon skate and Basic Skills program),
practice ice, and test sessions.VSC is also~ the host club for the annual Green
Mountain Open competition held in~ of March of every year.
This year,
VSC will be the host club for the 8th annual
Green Mountain Open.

September through June Daily : 6:00am - 8:00 AM with some possible exceptions
(Holidays, etc.) The 8:00-9:00 AM hour may be run by Cairns arena.

Hourly sessions are 60
minutes in length. Packages for blocks of ice time at rates are also available
as follows:
Member Walk-on rates: $12 per hour
Non-Member (US Figure Skating member) rates: $15 per hour (space permitting)
Member Monthly Unlimited~ pass : $200
Member punchcard (hourly sessions) : Book of 12 sessions ($120), 24 sessions
($216) 48 sessions ($384)
(Coupons still in circulation are redeemable for one full calendar year.)

FULL OR ASSOCIATE MEMBERS GET FIRST PREFERENCE TO SKATE ON CLUB ICE!
GUESTS (WALK-ONs) THAT ARE US FIGURE SKATING MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME ON CLUB
ICE IF SPACE PERMITS FOR A $15 FEE FOR EACH 60 MINUTE SESSION. FIRST PRIORITY IS
GIVEN TO FULL AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS OF VSC.
BASIC
SKILLS AND AFTERNOON SKATE:
LEARN TO SKATE
PROGRAM. Bring the whole family to C. Douglas Cairns Ice Arena in South
Burlington, Vermont for group skating instruction and practice ice. Skate
rentals available. Fun for children and adults. The program will be held on
Wednesdays from September 22 - November 10, 2004 from 4 - 5:10 PM.
Pre-registration will be held at C. Douglas Cairns Ice Arena in South Burlington
on Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 1 p.m. For further information, please contact
Cheddi Sargeant at 864-4308.

Test time[s] will be decided by the test chair and the test judges based on ice
availability and need by member coaching staff. These test sessions are open to
all skaters from any club as long as they are US Figure Skating members and show
proof of current membership.

From I-89 take exit 14E, take first right onto Dorset St by Friendly's Resturant,
go straight on Dorset St for 1.7 miles. Rink is on the left.

7, (If coming from the South, note that there is construction on Routh 7 from

approximately 3/10 mile.
